As the world strives to meet the challenges of the 21st century, Rutgers' School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station are leading the way.
I believe there is no other center of integrated teaching and research in the nation better equipped to tackle these problems than this school and experiment station. Our students and faculty are doing work with enormous relevance, and they possess the creativity, persistence, and sense of urgency needed to make great progress.
Through our professional and pre-professional degree programs, research enterprise, and many initiatives in the community, we are addressing real-world problems, such as developing alternative energy sources, preserving environmental quality, promoting better nutrition, and much more. Exploring life from the organism to the ecosystem, the school and the experiment station generate insights vital to the health of the planet and to all of us who call it home.
With the support of alumni, friends, and partners in industry, the school and experiment station are now moving forward, building on a record of success and seeking to accomplish even more. I invite you to learn more about both of these historic institutions and to share our vision of an even brighter future.
